Milestone Minis from Sarah Linnea Photography!

I have been overwhelmed in the last year with requests for "mini sessions".  I have been very resistant because I just didn't feel I could really create a dynamic collection of images in such a short amount of time.  But sometimes you don't need hundreds of images, you just want to capture your little one in a special stage of their life.  I realized I was refusing this option for my clients but photographing my kids in this way.
So. By popular demand:

Bookstore Session - Old Curiosity Bookshop on the square in Columbia, TN

I have a fondness for books. Particularly books that carry a sense of nostalgia. I decorate with books, I photograph  my kids with books, I have photographs taken with books.  Needless to say I am a bit of a used book store junky.  When I worked for a professional theatre in downtown Cincinnati I lived in an apartment above a book cafe. (For more about my love of coffee click here). It was heaven. In early 2013 the downtown square in Columbia TN became the home of
Old Curiosity Book Shop. A new and used bookstore with floor to ceiling shelves, comfy couches, coffee and a cute kids corner.

They so kindly have ordered books for me that they didn't carry, and are always happy to let me bring my camera and a client in the store.  I can't tell you how blessed I feel to have such wonderfully kind and open store owners letting me take over their space for a portrait.  They even opened their doors early for me one day.
I love the opportunity to photograph in this shop and clients who choose to have part of their session there receive a gift card to the bookstore so they can go back and explore. If you love books as much as I do, check out Old Curiosity Bookshop in Columbia.
