It's family portrait season!  This is one of our favorite times of year. Between Labor Day weekend and Thanksgiving our Calendar starts to fill up with families looking forward to their annual photo.  Some we have seen year after and year and some will be having their first Sarah Linnea Photography Experience!  To those we know and love we look forward to seeing you again as always and to those seeing us for the first time WELCOME!
Our clients and friends can tell you how much I (Sarah) and my associates Love our jobs.  As the season kicks off I tried to think of ways to help my clients prepare.  I will be writing a series of blog articles throughout the season with different tips for your family photos.

For our first tip we want to know...What is your Style?
What types of photos speak to your family.

Oh those Colors!

One of the big reasons Fall is family portrait season are the beautiful fall leaves. Tennessee has an absolutely Gorgeous fall and we are blessed to be able to have it as a backdrop for a few weeks.
If you are most interested in those fall leaves, plan to book your session at the end of October or the very begining of November.

Take me Downtown!

I have always had an Urban aesthetic myself. I absolutely love shooting downtown.  It was a big reason I decided to open the portrait studio there. There is tons of great architecture and this setting can really help create some interesting portrait art for your home.

Nature

There are several wonderful natural locations around middle Tennessee that allow your family to be the focus. almost any park, or park like setting can be the backdrop for a great family portrait.

Lifestyle

Sarah Linnea Photography believes in "Portraits with Personality". With every portrait session the studio undertakes, we ask ourselves the question: "How can we create portraits with personality".  This has led us to some of our favorites images. No matter what setting, I and my associates will work to find and create unique photos that tell a story about who you are as a family.

Slots are filling up so be sure to reserve your session.

Fall Families 2013

I got the opportunity to head downtown on my visit to Huntsville and photograph another family.

The Keiths won my drawing for a familiy portrait session and digital proof collection, and I was so excited to photograph their rambunctious boys.

We played around at the park, and those boys definitely put me through my paces, but we ended up with quite a few lovely portraits of this family.

Huntsville Alabama holds a special place in my heart. My brother, his wife and my only nephew live there. We have considered moving in that direction, but currently my husband loves his job, and the Columbia, Tennessee area has begun to feel more like home.  But I always like visiting Huntsville when I can. It's got the feeling of a a smaller town with the amenities of a larger city. This is a wonderful combination in my mind.
I like to make my way down to take some portraits there at least once a year.  This fall I photographed 4 beautiful families.
The Kachelman/Jordan clan is always a joy to photograph. I love getting to watch their family grow and grow.
